Our receptionists and admin staff provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.
The roles of receptionist and admin staff are not easy ones as they are having to deal on a day to day basis with many people who are unwell and sometimes upset. Please be as patient with them as they are with you.

Our referrals team above look after all the referrals to secondary care and have numerous year’s experience of doing that through many changes in the systems used. They look after the eReferrals System which is the latest means by which patients are referred a specialist if that is necessary. If you have queries please ask and they will always try to help resolve queries which arise from the system which is frequently out of our hands. We may, though, suggest you contact the hospitals of referrals centres yourself to chase up appointments.
